“Anna Morrissey’s work with Nevill Holt Opera has had a significant impact on the students of the David Ross Education Trust. Hundreds of students took part in our production of Noye’s Fludde in 2017 for which Anna was the movement director. Anna was then invited to create an educational version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream for primary and secondary students to engage with Shakespeare’s great text. From participating students to the people who engaged with that project we can say it impacted over one thousand young people in the East Midlands. Anna is able to create educational material which inspires young people, as well as allowing students to grow in confidence and broaden their horizons. Anna is able to command a room in an engaging, fun and resourceful way, and most importantly is sensitive to what works and what needs refinement and I’ve watched her change ideas and tack in an instant with great success. This is all in addition to her immense skill as a movement director and director. Her production of Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream was received with great critical acclaim and involved 14 students from schools across the East Midlands.”
